Bottoms Up!

You don't often get to see the underside of a butterfly especially one so nicely framed by leaves.  The Bee Balm is still attracting so much winged life even though it is beginning to pass.  I counted 7 bees, 3 butterflies and on Hummingbird Moth on this little clump of bee balm.  This Great Spangled Fritillary Speyeria cybele  was having a very enthusiastic encounter with the blossoms!  Much cooler today, thank goodness, and more rain coming.  Extra is a small part of the garden in its July mode.
