Budleigh pines

I went for an early morning walk on yet another hot sunny day.  I hadn't been to the beach for awhile so enjoyed this view of the pine trees overlooking the river estuary before walking back along the beach.  People were beginning to arrive for a day at the beach as I left with their kayaks, sunshades, chairs and swimming stuff in hand.  

We spent the rest of the day preparing for a meal at home with friends in the evening.  They had cancelled several times before because of concerns over covid but this time it all went ahead and we had a lovely time catching up on news and enjoying our meal and drinks.
