Three Finnish people

I had a lovely day today. To start with, the sun was shining and we were enjoying a nice Spring day, although a bit windy.

This morning I went for a walk around Helsinki. It was a good three hour walk, and well worth it. The only problem is that I had tons of pictures to deal with at the end of it.

This had to be a quick decision, although it was really difficult!

I had lunch at the harbour, in one of the tents that served typical Finnish delicacies. I had Neulamuikut (whitebait from Lapland) and tippaleipä (a sort of deep fried curly dough dipped in sugar) for dessert. Inside the tent, as you couldn't feel the wind, it was rather nice and warm.

I still can't understand a word of Finnish, by the way, but I like the sound of it. When someone speaks to me in Finnish, I just nod and smile politely... then I say "En puhu suomea" (I don't speak Finnish) Haha!

Early in the evening, I attended a blipmeet. A few blippers I already knew were there and a couple more I met today for the first time: apd, OhMyDarth, Essi, Suklis, Pii and Santkari. Lovely people!

After a couple of drinks, we all went to a small gig in a pub, with two Finnish music acts. Both of them were really good! The female singer had an amazing voice. Apparently, she is a celebrity in Finland, and sang once in the Eurovision Song Contest!

Must go to bed now because I'm knackered.

Thanks very much for all your comments, and sorry I won't be commenting during my holidays. I'll try and catch up with you when I get back!

I hope you all had a good day! :)
