July 16
I was out the door at 8:15 this morning and headed for Bridgewater. I didn't see anything on the way there that spoke to me enough for me to stop for photos. I needed a trellis for one customer so thought I would stop at the Canadian Tire in Bridgewater to see what they had left. They still had plants in their garden center too, unlike the ones here in the city. Someone was even outside watering them, which meant the plants were cared for, even though they are a big box store. They even had most of the plants that I had on my list to buy today. So I paid for the trellis and the plants, looked at my watch and was happy. I had lots of time to go driving around.
I had a couple more stops to make along the way, to get some fresh strawberries and some veggies. I had a message from a customer, he had bought some boxwood last year and I planted them. Some of them didn't make it thru the winter, but the 1 year warranty had just expired when he checked to see what he needed to do to get them replaced. He asked me if I could pick some up. I told him I had just left Cdn Tire and could stop there on my way home.
I continued with my drive, with planned stops at the beach in Green Bay, a stop to visit one of my daylily grower friends and a visit to Crescent Beach. Unfortunately the tide was in, so there was very little beach to walk on at both Green Bay and Crescent Beach. I did have a nice visit with my friend, walking around his garden to take some photos. The daylily in this photo is one that he crossed and grew from seed and has now registered it, it is called Auriel Dell.
This is the first weekend that I had lots of time to go roaming around looking for photo ops, and it was one of those days, nothing caught my eye,
