Busy Day in the Woods

Our club put on a small event starting in front of Pickering Castle. Richard and I helped put out some controls before helping run the event.

My role was to be available to assist any of the juniors struggling to navigate in the wood. A number were so keen to run the overshot one of the early controls. 

This young man had the support of his Mum and was carefully checking his map before moving on to the next control. In the background another Mum was also shadowing her children.

We helped collect the controls and clear the equipment before heading home for a late lunch.
