Day 197/22. Even wasps need to drink in this heat.

Our birdbath in the garden is being visited by a good number of wasps today. Perhaps 6-8 at a time. Clearly they have come for the water in this extreme heat, you can see this one lapping it up.
But are they actually drinking the water or are they gathering water to take back to their nest?
