Tae in Havra Hoose
A fine day, some sunny spells, breezy and warm at times. A lovely evening.
Last early shift of the week, and a steady day of passengers. I was on check-in first thing, then up to work with oil and gas flights. Arrived home, and stupidly lost Sammy! Turned out he was sleeping under a chair, and then it happened again, this time sleeping in the garden. After the Sammy excitement, we got packed up and headed out on the boat for a weekend trip away to South Havra. It's been two years since my last trip here.
We arrived in good time, just over an hour steaming. Unpacked and settled into the old croft house for the weekend. No power, no running water, no mod cons, but an upgrade from a tent. We brought peats too, and the fire is roaring, although it's not really needed. A quiet evening by the fire, on the abandoned island. This is the only house left with a roof, and it's super cosy (note the box beds for sleeping). Brian having mince and tatties for tea, and Sammy getting comfy on the sofa. Taken in the South Havera house.
