Bit of a mix up

While the rest of the country melted in sweltering heat; this morning it rained. I got a bit soggy on my morning walk and Ann got a bit soggy when she went to work. She wore her anorak to work as she also had to do the banking and go to the PO and she got soggy again. However by the time she finished at 1.30pm, Mr Sunshine had come back out to play and she felt a bit silly in her anorak. Yay!


Our friend, Susi, was due to come round for dinner this evening. The plan was.............. Susi would arrive between 4-5pm, have a few bottles glasses of wine and then have dinner at about 6pm. Best laid plans and all that. If you read our Blips regularly, you will know that my human is trying to swim/do a fitness class every day but today she didn't have time because obviously my afternoon walk takes preference over her 'summer fitness plan'. Lol!  Ann put the jacket potatoes in the oven just before 5 and then phoned Susi to see where she was. ….............She was at home because she thought she was coming tomorrow. Duh!!! Long story short............ she's actually not very well and was going to phone and cancel tomorrow anyway. No it's not Covid, she's done a test.
So here we are...................... home alone on a Friday night. If Ann were motivated, she'd go to her fitness club for a swim or go to the gym and start the 'Couch to 5K' thingy again. But she's not motivated. Lol! And anyway, she's halfway through a glass of wine now.
Apparently after she's had her dinner we might take a little trek into town and go looking for a few more giraffes. It's a beautiful evening.


Oh and if anyone is interested.................. we had nothing to Blip today so Ann said, 'Trixie, just sit next to these thistles and look adorable', so that is what I did.
