The Baltimore Beacon

After a magnificent meal last night at Ballymaloe in East Cork, we drove west from the City today.  After a short visit to Skibbereen and the enclosed sea water Lough Hyne, we reached Baltimore. On the headland south of the town is the Beacon, otherwise known as Lots Wife, which marks the entrance to the harbour from the Atlantic.
