Adelphi Lads Club

Thanks to The Smiths, the Salford Lads Club is well known but there's also the Adelphi Lads Club, which has reopened recently.

And while the Salford Lads Club is highly visible as you come into Manchester on Regent Road, the Aldelphi Lads Club is tucked away north of Chapel Street. Indeed, the main - and possibly only - entrance is down a deadend street, and has the feel of a speakeasy, tucked away and only accessible to those in the know.

The Minx and I went there, this evening, with the miniMinx and my daughter, Hannah, plus we were joined by Yoss, who also happened to be going along as one of his friends was DJing.

And the music was very laid back and just the right loudness as we sat in the shade and enjoyed the summery vibes.
