Twists and Turns
A beautiful dragonfly, a Southern Hawker, a female Common Clubtail or a male Golden-ringed (no doubt I’ll get a positive ID from a Blipper) came to visit us in the Conservatory this morning. He posed for a while on the dried teasels on top of the dresser before twisting and turning above us alighting on the fairy lights in the ceiling. When I thought it was time for him to leave us he was reluctant to do so but with the help of a gentle push from the floor mop he took his leave. Loved seeing him but he will be happier on his travels outside.
We spent the afternoon on our local beach at Holywell, the wind was strong but we braced ourselves and enjoyed a walk along the beach to Poldark’s Cave, much people and dog watching, and an obligatory ice-cream.
Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting AbstractThursday.
Extras: Two views of the Dragonfly before he made his bid for freedom.
