On The Road
Driving in this part of the Pacific Northwest requires that you pay close attention because you never know when something awesome is going to come into view that you can't help looking at. In this case it's the very tip of Mount Baker and the Twin Sisters, our very own 10,781 foot active glacier-covered andesitic stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc and the North Cascades of Washington State. There are of course way more spectacular views of it from numerous spots near me but I liked the way it sort of peeked at me as I drove home today. A gorgeous day as well, kind of warm but not too uncomfortable. Definitely summer.
