On the water.
So hot today. Usual Monday morning singing and then a mission to Skipton for a blipmeet.
We had promised fellow blipper, Lizzie (Birkett), a Toad Lily last autumn so today was arranged to deliver it. Lizzie and Frank kindly brought their barge ‘Fiddlesticks’ into the canal basin in Skipton so that we could meet up. We met them previously last summer on the canal just above the 5 Rise Locks in Bingley.
We were very kindly offered drinks and yummy cakes on board, lovely Bella May was just lying on the tow path not really knowing what to do with herself in the heat.
We had planned to walk in Skipton Woods which would have been in the shade but non of us could really be bothered so we walked further along the basin to the Boat House for a drink inside out of the sun. Think Bella was pleased.
Lovely to meet up with you all again and thank you fir your hospitality. I hope we can do it again sometime soon and the Toad Lily has some nice flowers for you in the autumn.
Elsewhere the family were enjoying lovely blue water. Last year in Scotland it was Eda the Intrepid on the paddle board with daddy but yesterday it was Eda and Jude! Think it would have been a mite warmer in Southern Brittany. Extra
