A day of heavy rain...

...which mostly held us indoors. There were a couple of spectacular hours when thunder and lightening flashed and rolled every couple of minutes. In a few drier periods we ventured out into the garden to fix bits and pieces in the garden. Eventually, late in the day, we headed out for a quick walk and admired the flowers and plants filling the ditches at the side of the road. These seem to be a true oasis for many flowers and the other day, as we walked back towards home, Jan counted 25 different flowers in a kilometer of ditch.
