Our Place

Another lovely day - sunny, but the air feels fresh and there's a little breeze. After our day off yesterday there were suddenly a pile of jobs to be done so there was plenty of work. I was watering the raised beds and putting up support for the peas and runner beans to climb up. Jan was planting too, and cutting grass, because tomorrow we are out and it's going to rain a lot.
However, before we got started on all that there was breakfast, sitting on the deck, which is slowly disappearing from view as Jan's flowers grow taller and taller.  It all feels rather idyllic!
Once the gardening work was done we showered, got slightly dressed up, and drove into town where we met Rose and went out to eat at a harbour-side restaurant. It was so sunny we had to change tables and move into the shade! The evening finished off at Rose's where we ate ice-cream and frozen cake and had our usual fun-filled chat.
So many things to be grateful for on a day like this!
