Show time.....

A cooler start this morning,had my coat on while going round the cattle first thing.
A family trip to Dalkeith Show today. This is the first year in a very long time that I haven't had to steward any of the sheep classes,so first port of call was the cattle ring to watch some the judging.
The simmental heifer on the right was pedigree beef champion and the limousin heifer on the left was reserve .
By lunch time it was roasting,think I even got sunburned this afternoon.
Littlemiss was helping on the RHET stand for a while (Royal Highland Education Trust) which has the role of educating children and the general public about farming and how their food is produced and that it isn't made by Tesco's!
Saw a lot of people that hadn't seen in a while,and it was good to be back at our local show after a covid induced 2 year absence. Even think the terrier enjoyed his day out .He certainly won't need a walk tonight anyway !
