A sewing day

Over to Sturton village hall for our 5hr session. It was very hot outside, but not too bad indoors with windows, doors open and as much ventilation as possible. We were in the little room upstairs, whilst a children’s party went on in the big hall. A bouncy castle and lots of other activities were going on to lively music. I had a little peek as I went past the door and was invited in to say hello.

I was able to reassure them that we couldn’t hear them upstairs and was offered a selection of sandwiches as they had rather more than the little gems could eat. I headed upstairs with a plateful and later we were supplied with doughnuts and iced buns.

They were welcome to raise our spirits after a difficult session trying to make a coat pattern fit one of the ladies. Dropped shoulders seem to be fashionable :0(
