Multitasking

I watched the men’s wheelchair tennis final this morning. Brilliant. The UK player was so disappointed when he didn’t win, but it was so close.

I had planned to watch the men’s singles finals but felt that I needed to get other things as well so moved upstairs to sew and watch the tv. I made slow progress with my coat yesterday and have another sewing day tomorrow, so wanted to get over the stage of working with the overlocker and standard machine alternately.

The tennis was incredible. I was pleased that Djokovic won as Kyrgios can play fantastic tennis, but I think that his behaviour at times is so childish. The terrible 2’s and throwing your rattle out of the pram came to mind, not very sporting!! Hats off to the umpire who kept his cool and didn’t rise to the rantings of Kyrgios.

The goodbyes to Sue Barker on her retirement had many people in tears, she will be greatly missed, but has been promised a seat in the royal box, so we will see her on the tv next year.

It has been a good two weeks, I’ve learned a great deal.

I’ve had some good news this weekend, the quilts for the children in Canada have arrived and are out of their vacuum bags for a breather before they are given to the children. Also the parcel for Max has arrived in time for his birthday later in the week.

A very hot day … see the extra !!!
