Cottonwood Texture
This B&W lark is harder than I imagined. Trying to find suitable subjects that are also interesting and appealing is a challenge. However, I might not have considered this shot in colour, mainly I think because the grass behind would be distracting and not add much. In mono though, it's a smooth texture to play against the deeply pitted bark of the cottonwood. A few leaves overhanging from an adjacent birch add a third element.
