Orange is not the only colour ...

Our local council is experimenting with wild flower mixes on neglected areas - this is the dog toilet field at Mayfield by the river in Kelso. We the ratepayers are invited to send in feed-back on which mix we prefer (though I don't know where the other patches are so can't really comment on that). 

But this is much better than the scabby grass it replaces. 

It's got me thinking about colour preferences. I used to think I hated orange  (though I've always like oranges), but now I find myself drawn to it ... in small doses. Strange how changes creep up on you.
