Lee Valley Meridian
I mentioned this a few weeks ago when I tried to get some pictures which all failed dismally for one reason or another. This is the back of the meridian sculpture in the Lee Valley Park. The pathway follows the Greenwich meridian and this is the view facing south towards London. It's amazing the things you find on your doorstep if only you take the time to look.
Met some very nice people who had brought out their dog for a walk and had a chat about the riches around us. I mentioned that the camera was like a dog but without having to carry a plastic bag or 6. Then we talked about cameras for a bit, which was nice.
This view is a bit fanciful but there are clearer views of the sculpture here and here.
There appears to be another sculpture at the other end of this meadow but I was forced back to the car-park before the gates were locked. There wasn't time to investigate but it sounds like a blip for another day.
Hit the "L" key for a larger version if you have an extra 30 seconds.
