ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST

Today I joined friends on a day trip through the ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST. Along the way we stopped at this Los Angeles
County water pumping sub-station, which had this interesting Art Deco design on the exterior. The site had barbed wire fencing around it, but was also surrounded by
rolling hills & mountains. With our severe drought, protecting the water pumping station seems prudent.

We also saw where my friend’s father was born, above the ROCK INN, while his grandfather was a fireman in the area.

Our last stop was to have lunch at the Saugus Cafe, the oldest restaurant in Southern California.

It was a fun day.
