Went for a walk along the beach at Robin Hoods Bay and returned via the Cleveland Way footpath that runs along the top of the cliffs. Over the years a series of landslips has caused the path to be rerouted at several points between Ravenscar and Robin Hoods Bay and the extensive cracks that are visible on the current route show that the process of coastal erosion is ongoing. The blip is a view from the point where the footpath enters the village. The many different angles and elevations of rooftops and chimneys are typical of the villages that are built on the steep slopes leading down to the North Yorkshire coastline.
