Bempton Cliffs

It’s J’s birthday and we celebrate it with time out at Bempton.
The weather is kind, warm and with intermittent sunshine - better than forecast.
I’m hoping to see puffins of course! And we do! They are quite wonderfully close. It has to be a celebratory puffin blip.
It’s lovely too to see the baby gannets, the extra shows both a tiny baby gannet, close up and almost hidden under the parent (hard to see but it’s at the same angle) as well as a prettier - fluffy, slightly older one
2rd extra shows a young adult gannet - they don’t come into their final plumage until they are 5. We’ve had a lovely day out
