New season

I had to go into the office this morning, so at lunchtime found myself playing at being a tram like CanCarrier. It was a sad, oppressive sort of day ( my mood, rather than the weather) so I was delighted to find the first crop I'd seen from the (short) British asparagus season. This was from Herefordshire; must be grown under polytunnels considering the amount of snow we saw in Herefordshire when we were down there at Easter.

Ooh, it was delicious!
