Waterlillies
Howick Hall, Northumberland
It was a little overcast at first but once the sun came out it was really warm. A bit of a breeze and lots of pollen so not perfect conditions, but pretty good and suited a wander around the gardens and arboretum.
A dragonfly and some damselfly appeared on the pond in front of the house, but were too quick for me. As this is Howick Hall, Earl Grey tea and cake was a requisite.
Some storm damage had felled trees, resulting in path diversions; which when combined with patchy phone signal and separating into smaller groups, made navigating in the arboretum a little challenging but prolonged a pleasant walk. There was some excited "leading the way" and collecting of clover once we rejoined the larger group.
