Wanderings and meanders

Black sheep on the Ha' Hill

Carlisle Park, Morpeth

Wander in the park and along the riverside.

A pretty interesting park.  A statue to Emily Davison, suffragette; a garden dedicated to WIlliam Turner, "Father of English botany"; Ha' Hill, site of a motte and bailey castle; and a play park with paddling pool which was popular as it was a warm and sunny day.

Unfortunately a paddle turned into a dunking and I was re-routed from a walk along the river to find dry clothes. Grandad was also called upon and between us we managed to find suitable dry attire.  The drenched had ice cream by the time we caught up with them so all were happy.
