Conwy

We drove from Liverpool to Conwy in North Wales today, stopping off in Llandudno, on the coast just north of Conwy. We were luck to get a fair bit of sunshine here as there was also quite a breeze on the pier! Here's a video of our stroll around Llandudno, along the pier and up to the 'Happy Valley'

We are staying in Castle Cottage in Conwy for the next two nights. We took a stroll around the town in the evening and were treated to some more sunshine illuminating the castle and making the estuary look silvery. We crossed the bridge to get the best view of the castle.

We went for a swim in the Liverpool Novotel before breakfast and had the pool all to ourselves. First time since last summer Conor had been in a pool. Hopefully we'll get him swimming properly by the end of this summer.

After breakfast we walked back down to the docks and visited the Museum of Liverpool which was excellent and free to get in!

Ellie phoned Orla just as we passed through the Mersey tunnel with the Orla's exam result. We could hear the disappointment in Orla's voice and feared the worst but in fact she got a Merit! An excellent result for her first ever music exam.

After Llandudno we were going to but groceries in Conwy Tesco but made the usual mistake of forgetting about Sunday hours and got there after it had closed. So we had to buy our dinner in the Conwy Spar.
