The Shropshire Boatmen

Last night I had a gig with my original ceilidh band, the first in three years. A couple had got married during the worst of the pandemic and this was their wedding party.

The band member doing the coordinating told me to be there at 7 o'clock which I was.  When I arrived they were all there eating, he'd forgotten to let me know that we were invited to the meal at 6.30pm and of course it was too late as I'd already eaten.  It looked delicious too!

Apart from that, it was a lovely evening.  We remembered the tunes and the dance floor was full all night. In the interval there was  entertainment from the Shropshire Boatmen who sing shanties (the groom is one of that group). 

Bonus was it was only 10 minutes from home!
