Shawlands market
It had just started to rain when I blipped this, I expect it had been busier earlier. A leisurely morning strolling around Shawlands and Queens Park finishing at Pollokshaws library which I see is now open 6 days a week.
An afternoon with the laptop completing the Ramblers blog and book marking a couple of new walks for next month.
And then a second walk this evening in Pollok Park to see if I could find any evidence of the outlier badger sett, I am thrilled that there are badgers less than 10 minutes walk away.
The extra is a mallard making good use of the coots nest, not sure where they have disappeared to. Shortly after I’d blipped the mallard was ousted off by an aggressive adolescent moorhen. I hadn’t imagined that pecking order, moorhens strike me as being very cautious usually staying in the shadows. The second extra is the moorhen after his successful conquest.
There is now a teenage party happening in the trees behind the flat. I can’t see them and no music, mostly shrieks and laughter. And they are at least 750m away from the badgers.
