The Røros cow

This breed you find around the mining town Røros. There are only a few left and there is a organition working for increasing the breed. They are fit for the climate up in the mountains.
"The farms in Røros were made up of three components: the house with the animals, the gardens and the upland summer farm and dairy. Because the houses and farms were packed close together along the streets, the farmers had to clear and plant land that was outside town"
I was happy to see these cows at Olavs mine, late evening, on my way to another mine, Storwartz.
Nova and I had a walk from Pantslåtten earlier today :)
