Morning walk

Today we finally sold mum’s house, hurrah! She died in 2017 but her partner carried on living in the house until he died last July. We then cleared it out and put it on the market in October, got an offer in April, and the sale went through today. It’s been touch and go for a couple of weeks but the buyer finally told her solicitor to proceed so here we are. It’s a relief - it was costing us about £500 a month with the service charge and council tax, so it’s really good to get it off our hands. A few loose ends to tie up now with the trust created in mum’s will, then it will all be done and dusted. And I’ll get my dining room table back!

A nice evening at a friend’s house but her idea and my idea of a very small g&t are not quite the same and I hope I don’t have a headache in the morning!
