This is a Norwegian full rigged ship. It dates from 1937 and today was in Lerwick's small boat harbour. Very handsome.

1st July - into the second half of 2022 already. As far as the weather is concerned it's not a brilliant day in Shetland. Damp, grey, a bit chilly. We have booked a slot at the Mareel, the arts centre, to watch some archive film of Shetland life. Then we will head off for a walk.

We have already had a wander up the street and found a few tempting items. I'm delighted at how dog friendly the shops and cafes are. Good to get the local paper today too - the Shetland Times, out every Friday.
