The Feux de la Saint-Jean

The Festival of the Feux de la Saint-Jean is held on the 23rd of June.  A huge fire is lit at the peak of Mount Canigou and the flames carried down to light fires in towns and villages in the region,

After the fire is lit and has burnt down, the Catalan celebrations begin!

It was quite a night.!
