North Point Lighthouse

Back to pouring rain today! Couldn't decide what to blip, so stopped @ the lighthouse on my way to meet my friend for dinner. I've passed it many times, but never stopped to walk around...... And may I say that it's difficult to take a photograph while holding an umbrella over one's head! Ha! The Lighthouse Keepers & their families lived here from 1855 when it was built, until it was decommissioned in 1994. The lighthouse tower is about 75 feet tall, & helped the ships navigate Lake Michigan safely.
