Mini Mining-bee
Day #28 of #30dayswild
Unfortunately I managed to acquire Covid while in Oxford so I shall be restricted to our garden for the last three days of #30dayswild Fortunately our garden is pretty wild and there's usually something interesting to find!
Today I bring you one of the Mini-miners which was enjoying the flowers of a garden form of Sheep's-bit. It's probably a Common Mini-mining Bee Andrena minutula, though I haven't looked at it critically. This species is found over much of the British Isles and is common in many areas.
