Nant Ffrancon Valley
Another busy day! We woke up the kids with our usual method of song and dance and then, after breakfast, drove them to Cwm Idwal. It was a beautiful day and we walked all the way round the Cwm and gave them a talk on glacial features. We then taught them about the Nant Ffrancon Valley - a beautiful U-shaped valley, shaped by the glacier with a misfit stream running through it. The views were stunning.
We drove on to Betws-y-Coed and gave them some free time here before starting the three hour drive back home. So after nearly 400 miles of driving in 3 days we made it back to school at 6.30pm tonight, having seen two accidents on the motorways and been stuck on the M6 for some time.
This is worth enlarging.
Thank you for all your comments on my flowers in the woods shot a few days ago. Sorry I haven't had a chance to catch up. I will hopefully get back into it once I've had some sleep!
