Sally Mair - Loving life

Tickled Pink

Church today for the first time post covid (I think) was good. I was doing the prayers and had to write them rather hurriedly last night as I was so tired after my St Andrews jaunt.
I've had a quiet day today my greatest excitement being nipping out to EFI to pick up a coffee table. I'm very clumsy at the moment with my broken wrist and I managed to knock over a bottle of acetone nail varnish remover the other week. It's taken a large amount of the finish off my table and I'm certainly not going to be able to do anything about it in the short term. I don't want to spend the period until I get round to fixing it looking at the horrid mess that it now is. I managed to pick up an acceptable temporary replacement table for £40 which I was quite happy with.
Today's rose, which I've captured in case it is damaged in the current high winds, is one of a pair of standards given to us by the girls for our 30th anniversary 7 years ago. They are prolific flowerers and have a good scent too.
