Sally Mair - Loving life

Today I ate my first home grown tomato, then I thought I'd better take a picture before I ate any more! These have been far more successful than the banana plant I resisted from the same source.
Up and out early this morning, it was a dull day and had rained overnight.
I put in a brief appearance to a Zoom Meeting as well, there's a good team there. Discovered some other friends are going to be on Iona at the same time as me so that's nice.
We walked down to the PO and posted a book after lunch, but that and this mornings outing are the sum total of my exercise today. I went for a short nap this afternoon to see if that would help my tiredness and feel sound asleep for over two hours. I had to prise my eyes open several times before I could wake up. Can't think why I'm so tired. Did myself a lateral flow test but as expected it was negative. I still wonder if I caught the virus at Christmas 2019 in the very early days when I was so unwell. I'll probably never know.

This weekend was to have been my wee sister's 'delayed by a year' 60th birthday party in Wales but the virus put paid to that this year again. She went with a small group of friends to the Llandudno area today and did a zip wire ride. Matches my paraglide a couple of years ago. We were never brought up to be shy and retiring, true Scots grasping the thistle when it was offered. Freddie did the Clipper round the world yacht race in 1996/7 as her adventure.

Keep safe and well everyone, I do so hope the number increase starts to stop off again soon.
