More Weather Drama!

This certainly has been an eventful cruise weather-wise.  This photograph is the latest excitement, which happened yesterday at lunch time.

We were ploughing through 20-foot seas at the time, and lots of people were enjoying their lunch in the main dining room, when all of a sudden a rogue wave rose up and smashed right through one of the big windows!  Sea water and broken glass everywhere, and one poor man who was sitting right beside the window in question received cuts to his head.

This morning, the repairs are underway -- who knew the ship carries spare windows!?

Today we are in the Faroe Islands, once again enshrouded in fog and rain.  We've canceled our tour for the day -- it didn't sound like much fun to be tramping through the gloom on a four-hour hike!  Besides, I've managed to catch a little cold -- not surprising when you consider the vast numbers of people sniffling, coughing, and sneezing everywhere!
