Strumble Head Lighthouse

Friday 24th June 2022

Well, the weather changed today and we dodged showers all day. First we went to Strumble Head Lighthouse and I loved the moody sky, particularly in mono. This was one of our first few photos and just after we made a dash for the car as the rain came in. We sat it out for 10 mins or so and then it stopped so we went back out to get some different angles. Just as we thought we'd finished the sun came out! See extra.

We moved on to Abercastle, stopping at a cafe en route. After a quick look at Abercastle harbour we went on to find Carreg Samson, a neolithic burial chamber - see extra. We only had ten minutes there before the rain came in again.

Our third stop of the day was at the Blue Lagoon, Abereiddi. Not so blue today of course! We went down to the lagoon and watched some girls as they were having fun jumping in. We then walked up on to the top of the cliff to look down on it - see extra. Just as we got back to the car it started raining again, quite hard, and continued all the way back.
