And I'm Telling this Story...

Tonight, I dragged himself out of the house, and we headed to the Harbour Beach.  I wanted some driftwood and shit.   I've told K (who got married THREE WEEKS AGO).. that I have created her a Driftwood Sculpture as her wedding present.

(Don't worry about the time delay, we always have a delay in present giving - she is currently driving around with 3 years worth of birthday presents for me) .

It was totally bloody gorgeous.  Words couldn't do it justice, but suffice to say, it was warm enough to throw caution to the wind and dip my toes in and then I threw myself prostrate on the ground, because my feet were wet and couldn't go back in my shoes and the stones were too sore to walk on.

It was glorious, the sun was so bright the sea was glistening like diamond, and my eyes were streaming.  Himself came back with a 12 ft stick and said "this has got to be worth at least £42 on etsy".

Have you seen etsy?  People are actually selling five pieces of driftwood for £18.00.   I have a disposable income on my front door. I need to get picking up more of this shit.

So we sat there, and watched a wee boat just sitting.  I think they were all having a beer whilst the front of the boat held their fishing rods.  a great big liner went past on the way to somewhere exotic like, Greenock. on the very far horizon, and a seal popped up and said hello.

Then Davie appeared.  Davie is our neighbour.  If he isn't cycling, he's running; or fast walking, or paddling.   He never stops.  This morning he was pitching a tent in his garden, BEFORE i went to work.

I must ask him about his logistics with this boatie.  I see him with it attached to the car.  I see him sailing from one shore to the other (about  3miles).... but I'm not sure how he gets the boat back to the car, or the car to the boat.  Maybe it's like a triathlon,  maybe he drives, drops the bike, then drops the boat, sails to where he dropped the bike and then bikes back to the car, and then drives to get to the boat again.

I just don't know and it confuses me.  I must ask him.

I'll let you know when I have.
