Thursday: 1939-1945

Today was definitely a better day.  I realised that the big piece of work that dropped on my desk yesterday was better once I’d mastered the art of delegation.

On Barney, we have feelers out.  It will cost but he’s worth it.  

I had a good sociable day today.  My colleague, Ben, from Vancouver, was in town and filled me in on everything going on with my old team.  And then a very old colleague, John (old as in former, rather than aged) has joined us in the office here.  It was fantastic to see him, even though we’ll only overlap for a short period of time.

War memorial has no bearing on any of this, other than I pass it regularly.
