Second helpings!
Following on from Sunday's blip, here are the leftover contents from the bean tin. I think that I am going to continue on this bean experiment for the time being. I had this roll and beans as my second breakfast as I am following a cunning nutritional strategy today. Met up with my big amigo outside the gym and we went for a 10k run before our Body Step class. Also got a session booked in the Velodrome tonight. Exercise is great but it really does make you absolutely starving. So plan is to have 6 small meals today. I've had four already.
Noticed out running today that I felt pretty fit and strong. Especially in the hills. I think that miles that I have been putting in on my bike really are helping improve my overall fitness. I also think that my legs aren't so tired as I am not doing the long Saturday run and only doing the 2 x 10k runs per week. Running is an excellent activity, you don't need anything other than a road/trail and a pair of trainers. You do not have to wait for a particular time like a class and if you so desire you can do it right from your front door. It is also a very therapeutic activity, clears the mind. It also helps keep the fat off as it is such an intense exercise and takes a lot out of your body. Having said all this, nothing quite like flying down a hill at 38mph on 25" tyres under your own steam and whooping when you get to the bottom!
