Planning the next house viewing trip
On our previous two trips we were nothing like this organised - but we've had more time to get stressed and get OCD. We can't go yet - we need to wait until we have exchanged contracts and have a completion date. But AS SOON as we do, we're off!
We now have a fancy map - all the little blue splodges are potential houses to view. And a document with more information to refer to. Several houses on this document are already no longer available on Daft.ie - presumably they are sold.
More houses are added to Daft.ie daily - a few of which we may wish to add to our potentials. But we're quite picky - we want energy efficient, space (but not TOO much), not too close to the neighbours, but not too isolated. And the exchange rate has tumbled recently, so we can't afford quite as much as we could have done a few months ago.
The range of prices is wide - and it isn't always clear quite why a house is as cheap or expensive as it is - though that may be more obvious once we visit - the (smelly) farmyard next door to one may have something to do with it!
W finished putting new sealant round the shower in our en suite bathroom yesterday - this morning I've given it a good clean, and this afternoon we managed to get the shower door back on. All good to go. Now I have to clean the family bathroom, and hope it remains clean until we move out.
W spent some time mowing the grass this morning - and now we have the sprinkler going, giving the flower beds some much needed water.
