In Search of Matariki…..

Maisie and I were out very early. I had been hoping for a clear sky in order to see the stars of the Matakiki constellation rising out of the northeast sky. But sadly there was a bank of clouds obscuring the sky where I had hoped to see Matariki rising. Better luck tomorrow morning… maybe… Despite the clouds there was a heavy frost. A morning to wear lots of layers, preferably merino. I’ve had a busy day starting off with morning tea at friend Cathie’s place…. Homemade pikelets with blackberry jam and whipped cream…. Yummy!
