Lasting Friendships….

This lovely little cushion was given to me by a special friend many years ago. Today that friend, Dawn and I sadly attended the funeral of a another special friend. I made friends with a group of women joggers way back in the 1980s. We are all older and perhaps a bit creaky now but our friendships have prevailed over the years. A dozen or more of us gathered along with hundreds of mourners to celebrate the life of Yvonne, taken too soon. She touched so many lives and she will be terribly missed. We remaining women joggers will continue to stick together and remember Yvonne with love. Good friends are like stars. We may not always see them but we also know they are always there. Arohanui.
