One of those days

Washer/dryer packed up on Friday. Same problems as ca. a month ago. JL warranty runs out in 3 weeks.

First thing on the phone to Electrolux. Coming tomorrow. Can’t complain about that.

Worried that in a few weeks it will fail again. Machine made clunky noises, and now won’t start. The machine “moves“ which is why my last machine packed up when it fell off the plinth! This machine did the same and has been erratic since.

I had a chat with John Lewis. They told me to speak to another department, who advised another department. They are sending someone from the installation department to check the installation next Monday. I had explained at the time that the previous machine had fallen off the plinth, and specifically asked them to ensure everything looked OK

So a couple of hours on the phone, passed from pillar to post, I have achieved something. All logged, so I shouldn't have issues when the warranty runs out. Let’s see what the Electrolux subcontractor says tomorrow. .

Then with Mr B to have a basal cell carcinoma removed from his long-suffering nose. 5 stitches, Take it easy today, no alcohol for 48 hours, and no tennis for a week. Stitches come out next Monday. (A warning for all you sun lovers).

Early night. Been a long day. (Beautiful sunny day, not that we saw much of it).
