Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Hot, hot hot!

At last - it was summer - all day today!

After the gym (for JR) we set off to take Archie to the park, via Waitrose to return an item. We then took a bus up the road, as it was too hot to walk all that way for wee Archie (and me). He loves it at Braidburn Valley Park - in and out of the burn the whole way round. He looks so silly once he’s been in the water - wee thin legs making him look rather portly in the body. Lots of doggos to meet, and plenty of benches for me to sit on every now and then. I got the bus back, but the others walked home, on the shady side of the road.

I managed another couple of BB episodes while reviving myself with a cold beer. When JR came home we sat out in the hot sun in the back garden, where our neighbours (dad and daughter) were batting tennis balls to each other - testing racquets. The 10 year old is a very keen, and talented, tennis player.

We had our tea sitting outside.

I could get used to this warm weather…

But better not…
