Ecosystem

A rewarding visit to the red salt pond this evening - it's really at it's best this time of year, all the usual things to photograph, though I don't get any better at it, apparently. But it's the first time I've captured these little creatures swimming around - perhaps they are the brine shrimp?
In the extra, a salt-pond water boatman, I don't think there's much other than them and the shrimps that thrives in this ecosystem.
Update - seems they ARE brine shrimp, also known as sea monkeys. More here
